Lesson Objectives:
Vocabulary: Master 8 core B1 digital terms (efficient, convenient, format, secure, transition, reliable, upgrade, access) and 8 advanced C1 business terms (legacy systems, paradigm shift, to spearhead, to leverage, friction, contingent upon, bottleneck, to streamline).
Speaking: Explain the difference between digitization and digital transformation, and discuss Finland’s “cloudfirst” government, at both B1 and C1 register.
Listening: Watch and analyze a short authentic video on digital transformation, extracting key vocabulary and ideas.
Language Awareness: Use functional B1 phrases (for example / however / I think that / because) to structure opinions, then upgrade the same ideas into C1-register answers using the advanced vocabulary set.
Use of English: Recognise and produce the correct word form (noun/adjective/verb) of key lesson vocabulary, and rephrase sentences using a given key word.
